Backyard Aluminum casting Big Part
Casting a 12″ diameter lathe chuck sales face plate. This is only the second time I have used the much larger crucible. normally I use a 3.5″ X 5″ steel pot. The crucible holds about three times as much metal. It was soo cool!
www.rijlaarsdam.eu The RFA-Vision system guides the robot to the workpiece on the conveyor. The robot uses a double gripper to quickly exchange the part in the chuck of the lathe. The robot blows the chuck clean with compressed air. The ready part is placed by the robot on the outgoing conveyor.
